Excellence in Emergency Medicine: Update in Trauma and Emergency Care
Update: October 11, 2024 – Unfortunately, we have cancelled this year’s Fall Conference that was scheduled for October 28th through the 31st. We have spoken with our contacts at the Grove Park Inn, and while the hotel did not sustain major damage, they are still without power and water and many of their staff are struggling with the impact of the storm. The entire Asheville area is still in recovery mode, and we want them to be able to focus on rebuilding and repairing the damage.
Next year’s NCCEP Fall Conference is scheduled for September 29 – October 2, 2025, at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville.

Update: October 2, 2024 – As you know, the Asheville area saw historic flooding and damage in the wake of Hurricane Helene over the weekend. We have been in contact with the Grove Park Inn, and they currently do not have power or water; however, they were happy to report that there were no major damages and that they anticipate both water and power by the end of this week. We expect that the conference will continue and will work with the Grove Park on that next week as they would like to return to some sense of normalcy as soon as possible. However, we are not certain at this time and will keep you updated as soon as we know more so that you can make plans accordingly.
If we do continue with the conference, we will try to set up an afternoon to do some work/volunteer in the community to assist the Asheville area in their recovery efforts. Our hope is that we will be able to host our conference, but please bear with us during this difficult and uncertain time for our North Carolina mountains.

The NCCEP 2024 Fall Conference will be held October 28-31, 2024, at the beautiful Omni Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa in Asheville, North Carolina. This meeting will provide state of the art practical clinical information for physicians, nurses, physician extenders, and paramedics on the care of trauma, cardiac and stroke patients, and pediatric emergency medicine as well as provide updates in general emergency medicine.
